Okay i am sorry....I WAS TOTALLY WRONG...The writer was talking about both. I found an interview about that song. He talks about how David invited Mephibosheth to his table.
Mephibosheth was crippled and to be crippled in those days it was the lowest of lows. And he said that without Christ we are crippled.
