Personally, i don't think it's a petty love song...
But the again I like to put an interpretation to something that fits my own life…
So here it is:
This song is about a friendshipand for your grubs, a couple or maybe even family member (bro/bro, bro/sis, sis/sis…ect.) that had a great relationship, and now lost it.
“Before you fell apart and you blamed it on me” can mean basically one wrecked emotionally, and took it out on the other, weather or not they deserved it.
“those days come every now and again…” every now and then things are okay to a certain point, but not like they used to be.
“and for always, is you and I…” no matter how far you go in life, the other is still in mind, no matter how high the hatred is pilled.
I’d like to think of this as a friends, because I can totally relate to that…And it’s true, something can happen and it’s nobody’s fault but your own, and you blame it on someone else.
And it could be that you did something and are too afraid to admit it and apologize to the person you hurt.
