I love the line "wipe the (rai)n from (dear) like dasher". Aka dasher the reindeer. Amazing word play!!!!
And "X's on the shore." I think that means x boyfriends and girlfriends who they left behind.
But I think the song has a deeper meaning and considering that the album is based on 3 characters, the cool, the street, and the game, (the streets being the girlfriend of the cool) I feel that the song is about the streets. The cool is singing the song to the streets. I think its a metaphor for how some ppl can't leave the streets behind. Th whole "U can take me out the street but can't take the streets out of me" idea
also in the song "The Coolest" there is a lot of wordplay related to weather, related to reign and rain, related to tears--in that song the girlfriend cries tears when the rain (reign) goes away and everything is dry. It's interesting how in "The Coolest" he needs the rain, but in this song he wipes it away. I think this song comes after "The Coolest" on the album, so the Cool is getting overly confident with all his riches?

the Cool also doesn't really care about his girlfriend (the Streets) in this song. It seems like he does, but he says "I know my world tour's like war to ya, but..." and then lists people he's seen that are saying hi, just blowing off the fact that what he's doing is hurting the girlfriend. Maybe this is the evolution of the Cool, going from relying on the Streets to make money, and when he does have money and popularity to travel and have world tours, forgets what it was that got him there. Or he's trying to forget it, but like you said can't leave it behind.
