i personally think this song is about having an addiction. i never wanted.. is talking about how 'whoever' didnt want to turn into who they are. tomorrow may fall but today is already gone, is talking about how they gave into their addiction and hopefully the day after might be different. ive seen my world change and go back to where it came, trying to figure out what led us to do the things we did that let us give into our addiction we never wanted. brought back to life only to die again until tomorrow, then we repeat the vicious circle...
Exactly my thoughts pebbles. I don't know if its about drugs or not, but there are clearly things in his life which he feels bound to, but they don't satisfy him. The elements of a relationship in the song are likely the relationship he has with these things which he never wanted. The lines "I have seen my world change and then go back to where it came" are likely referring to trying to break free from these things, but constantly going back to them.
