I know the acctual meaning and story behind this song but...
here is how I always kinda took it

it's about force
someone forcing you to do something and not taking no for an answer and saying that the cause will be lost without and threw this process the hole idea of the orginal thougt is lost and what the person was orginaly asking of you to help gloryify and contribute too is gone and the only thing left is the action it self to the point that the action is going against the orginal intent.
