I live in the Vegas area, too. In case you haven't noticed, a lot of people still call the Henderson and Summerlin areas "Vegas", because it's still considered a part of the city. You tell people you're from Las Vegas and they say, "What part?" Then you can elaborate. It's like when I lived on the outskirts of Detroit -- people still considered it part of Detroit.
And if you think Sam's Town isn't in Vegas, you're sadly mistaken. The address is 5111 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, NV 89122. I would know, I live right next to it.
