I like this song and therion! Their death metal sound in the beginning is unique and nice. It's just so odd how they really evolved and became (or started) symphonic metal later on. I think the song is talking about how after people die they're eternal, no longer chained to the physical body. Also, more than one way and not only two paths could be talking about monotheism/other religions and how there's one way to god and it's either heaven or hell. They're saying that you kind of are in control after death and rise above the world and beyond consciousness.
