ok well first of all, that's a really disturbing comment that weniseeyersmile just left.. please save the cutting for the bathroom.
"Don’t bite your lip to hold back your smile
Just think of this
As bending the rules
You’re walking a thin line
Between me and what’s right
This thread seems worn and frayed
Don’t hide your face
And cower behind
A wall made up
Of secrets and lies
You can put it all on me
But if this is what’s been wrong
Then why is your hand in mine?"
^ I think that this girl is dating someone else, but is seeing this guy behind his back. She knows that it's wrong but it feels so right. When he says "you can put it all on me" I think he means that she can put the blame from her boyfriend on him.
The chorus, I can't really explain ... It's kind of puzzling me. Maybe he needs breathing space to take this all in .. I'm not quite sure, maybe you guys could help me on that one.
"If I’d allow myself to feel
The things I know I should
Then I might not be standing here"
^ he's saying how if he allowed himself to love without going behind someone's back, he might not be in this situation. Obviously his relationship with this girl isn't working out ..
"Oh god this poison’s spreading
Can’t feel the ground beneath my feet
My hands won’t stop shaking
My legs are crippled from defeat
My vision’s getting blurry
My heart is breaking as you speak
Won’t you listen to me?
To me
To me"
^ Maybe he's trying to explain what he feels like to the girl, but she isn't taking it well and doesn't know what to do, which leaves him confused as to where this relationship is going ..
