Many situations in life make you feel trapped and you know they aren't good for you, but you're still curious, which fits in with the repetition of "but when I do". The harshness of the situation is shown in the picture, which captures the moment. The person's confused because of deception. They want to go, but the violence and hate comes and slowly gets them. it's slow because it's a deep psychological hate/malice. So I would say this shade of red is very very dark ^_^.
