I ran into one of my friends who happens to be an alcoholic and he showed me this band for that reason- he loves how he can relate to this cd. his take on this song, was that his best friend is his sobriety. when in any addiction, you lose a part of yourself that you took for granted since the day you were born. and that it is your sobriety. when this is lost, you NEED that drink, or whatever to make yourself FEEL sober or "normal" again. its not even about getting f'd up anymore. this is the battle of addiction. the constant struggle and fight from withdrawl. acutually needing that drink to feel "normal" like i said before. and when that happens, you lost your best friend, your self: your sober self...im kind of having a hard time explaining what im trying to say. what do you guys think? everybodies take on a song is always affected by their personality. this song is def one of my fav songs.
