I dig this song the most out of all the Everclear songs. I guess know the feelings and frustration of this song. It really touches on the subject of women always wanting to be able and talk to their exes and expect them to understand. I know we men can be A-holes, but jesus! where's the sense in rehashing everything? "I wish that I could have a drink and make you go away!" But it doesn't work. It just aggravates the situation. The old girlfriend is trying to talk her old boyfriend like everything is all honky dory and she's oblivious. That just kills the dude. Maybe she should listen to some Alanis Morrisette so she'll understand. He still wants her but he's doing his best to forget her. She's not an option anymore but she ain't making it easy either.
