d.walk1989, what in the world? "Oh how I miss..What you miss.." This line is almost explicitly related to God. I don't expect you to think about this as much as I do, so let me explain; We corrupted God's intended plan for the relationship between God and man. We see early in the book of Genesis that Adam and Eve chose to sin, and since God can have NO part in sin, He had to separate Himself from us. For a while there though, man actually walked and talked and dwelt with God the Father Almighty. I think the artist of this song is expressing that he misses what we as humans should all miss, an intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior. We certainly and plainly see that God wants this, He sent His Only Begotten Son to die for OUR sins. He misses us, we miss Him. "Oh how I miss..What you miss.."

The first paragraph discusses the artist's (Bryce Avary) seemingly newfound insight of the workings of God, seeing Him more and more clearly for the first time.

Second paragraph discusses all the vain activities and things that Avary chose to indulge himself in in place of have a close, personal relationship with Christ.

Third paragraph could be his revelation of his stagnant faith. He realizes that he hasn't progressed in his faith, as he should be. It's something of a shock and a disappointment.

Fourth paragraph is Avary saying that he had knowledge and faith when he was young, but perhaps he has grown out of it, and he's just now come to the realization that he's not where he should be, now that he's an adult. He realizes he's not where he was as a child.

The chorus is truly touching. He disregards all of his shortcomings, puts them aside, and just runs to the true Love, God's love. A love that always forgives, always take us back. It's something that we as humans just can't understand, there's no limit to this unconditional God-Love. He states his desire is that he'll never do it again, although he probably will, but he'll still try to stick true to God. The bible calls us to be unreproachable, although this is not impossible, it's not probable. "I wanna say I'll never do it again But, I can't But, I will try"

That's my take on it, tell me what you think, if you like.
