"l'll see you later, i can't imagine why
i'd start allergic reactions"
To me, it's kinda like pointing out ones own stupidity. Telling that you're going to see that person, even if you know you'll be hurt. Like people who eat too much junk food even when they know they're gonna get fat.
"all those jokes and silly games
you've wasted so much time"
Everytime I hear that line, I think of being stuck in something that you thought might be worth something, when it's just a game. All those hours you could've spent on something else and you purposely gave it up for something you thought was better.
"so sick and tired of automatic wash
why you don't you do me a favor"
Just like being bored of the same, everyday routine, like an automatic wash would be. Sure, it's custom, it's easy. But it's not really personal. It's just automatic.
"maybe i could give it one more try"
After that climatic chorus, it goes straight into a soft almost spoken line, with that piano in the background. Like your at the end of your ropes, broken and beaten, and you still have that smallest glimmer of hope. And the second time it's repeated, it's almost said as if the person is crying out. Maybe to nothing at all.

It's personally one of my favorite songs
