Hey guys, I'm new here but i was just appalled that Common Market lyrics were not uploaded on this site. I extol what this site presents, and, well, welcome me in. All Common Market lyrics are on their website-it's just occasionally tough to get through to them-and you could still hear the songs on their myspace page, just search. I believe RA Scion is just a magnificent poet, the best artist, and this song here, is one i truly do not understand...help me out.
Just a hunch, is it about the history of New York hip hop?

I think so. There's definitely elements of Hip Hop and references to NY.

It's evident that there's references to Emceeing (MC, Verbalizer, etc.), and breaking.

I see some deeper metaphors or references to Graffiti kind of, either that or putting pen to paper and writing lyrics.
