I truly believe in sex-positive music. I really enjoy "Flower," so I'm clearly not a hater -- don't stone me! This song is just so...stupid. I'm usually better at coming up with adjectives, but no other word comes to mind. I'm not a Phair fan by any means...I own a few of her songs, some from her "Guyville" debut and some more recent. Maybe she was trying to bring back the sexual, amusing magic of "Flower." I just don't know. I guess she sounds desperate here? Maybe that irks me. In "Flower," she didn't, and the arrangement was really pretty, too. I don't know if she was going for shock value here. Shit, it's just straight-up awful.
