I think this song is basically about a boy whom feels left out in the world, and does not have any friends. He feels like no one cares about him so he thinks about suicide and almost committed suicide. He thinks its better to just stay inside since the outside world is so harsh. He eventually decides to make a change and he overcomes his depression and decides to make friends. He then realizes that the world is bad but there is also good and he is going to be just fine.
