I think it's about depression. I think the suicidal themes are thoughts or fantasies stemming from depression.
The first couple verses are about how hopeless the world feels and how it makes one feel trapped and blind.
The chorus is written as a plan like somebody rehearsing their suicide to themselves, not acting it out.
The third verse is listing more depressing things, but they seem more epic in nature especially "Gods fall" and "You Fall". The last line reminds him that he's somewhat of a coward as he questions if he'll bother to look down.
Through to the end are variants of the first chorus adding an idea. He believes he wants to find peace in death before he finds out what's in his head. Maybe he's afraid to confront himself because he's been through a lot and changed so much that he wants to find peace somewhere without having to rebuild his sense of self.
I believe this song was written as an outlet of suicidal thoughts brought on by depression. Also, the song itself sounds manic like he trying to sound happy as he's singing about why he wants to kill himself and his plan to do it. Perhaps it's a voice in his head that's telling him to do it.
In any case, that's my interpretation of the song.
