i've also heard that rumour about this song as well. it's about a girl driving down the pacific coast highway on the way to losing her virginity (to her love) but dies in an accident before she can reach him. i read it on a review a couple of months ago, and have also heard it from several other (non-official) sources (does anyone know if the meaning is written by a band member on a cd-sleeve or anything like that?). regardless, i think you can see it from that perspective (i'll give 'it' to you tonight) as well as simply a song about love and the innocent almost child-like happiness it invokes. although the tune is chirpy and cheerful, whenever i think about the former meaning of the song i do feel a little sad. so it's almost a bittersweet feeling.
