It seems like this directly relates to a relationship gone awry, but the deeper meaning has to do with the music industry. It's like being betrayed by the thing you rely the most upon. "Just because you're rotting, doesn't mean you're dead" kinda makes me think that this has to do with his trying to convince the other that it's never too late to turn around and reclaim the love they had. Also, it could serve as a metaphor for a person who sorta lost their soul in all of it and the music industry who may not be dead yet, but is still well on it's way to that fate.

"We both love the money, we all love our friends. It doesn't make us pricks. We just keep falling in." Is mostly where I got the music industry idea from, thinking that it's coming from a band or a label who sorta sold themselves short and it's not really the result of bad intentions, but falling into the traps of the music industry.

"I can't rest, my neck's too stiff. Is this remorse or hindsight making me delirious? With a goodnight kiss, these bloody lips whisper something about rats and sinking ships. Leave me lifeless. A bloody whisper from your lips. Forget November, suffer this." is basically trying to figure out if they are really truly upset about the decisions they made regarding the relationship/choices they made in the industry and then realizing that it's really all over. The industry/relationship is over, and they are more dead than they were before.

"A lie, if you don't believe. A lie. That's how we live our lives." The music industry is not the thing they thought it was/the popular sentiment among people who just broke up that the relationship and all feelings within were just a lie.
