So the guy is basically hung up on this girl who seems to be perfect for him, and he doesn't feel this way about anyone else, but he still continues to date around and have other girlfriends and such. Maybe right when the guy believes he is over this girl, she comes right back to him, making him fall in love with her all over again? Leading him on perhaps? Now he's in a relationship but can't get the girl out of his head?
