Even though I don't really get the whole message out of this song, to me the last line and the title say it all to me:
And the clouds won't break when the sun is on empty
Things will nog get better if you look at it from a dark side. Otherwise, when looking things from a bright side, you will see that things will get better eventually. At least it's a start.
Destroy the map (the way you got here, what happened in the past and hold you down) and start living now!
