This song is so amazing. The first time I listened to it, I was just thinking, okay nice song about a typical small town boy. Then I got to the end and was just blown away. I listened to it again, immediately after and I couldn't believe it. It is a song all about the life of Christ, which up until the years of His public ministry, was pretty typical. You really think it is just a normal kid, then when you hear the lines "On a cross, on a hill, that long-haired boy was killed" you realize this kid is anything but normal. Then, at the end, "the way he was raised" takes on a new meaning (raised from the dead as opposed to childhood raised). This is a terrific song.
