I do believe these are the correct lyrics. Thank you, weasel27! I noticed a while back that the wrong lyrics for this song were posted all over the internet! The only line I am not sure about is the very last line of the first verse - but I think you got it pretty close if not dead-on.
As fir the meaning - there isn't much of one. It's pretty much just about Betty and Veronica (and presumably the other teens of Riverdale) gettin' down to the rock n roll music!
I always kind of imagine the Riverdales playing at a school dance or something and it's getting way out of hand, much to the chagrin of the kids' parents and chaperones.
