Well to me this song sounds like Joshua is saying that he has met someone who he thought was like him in a way. And that person has reminded him of his past life. And he's saying that he sees the that person is just kind of going through life "cutting and moving". And is saying that the only way for them to get out out of this "hole" is for them to find Jesus.
