First words until "Who will..." Means that someone, a man, can hear death calling to him, and he wants somone to save him. "You must..." until "It's all..." means that he still hasn't found anybody, and ponders attempting to save himself. Then another person shows him Jesus, and proceeds to explain how Christ has saved him, and calls on the main character to decide whether or not to call on Christ. The man does, then becomes more confident and is able to shut up death's call, and turns his life around to glorify God. Then he praises Jesus for what he's done for him, and he has also succeeded in opening his entire family's eyes (my favorite lyric), proclaiming himself to be a warrior against death and hell. The last line means that this author's story is supposed to speak to the reader/listener.
