the "but, i can't remember life without him/i think i did have good days" lines are what get me the most in this song. it's the feeling of realizing that you're miserable all the time and trying to make yourself realize that it couldn't have always been this bad. it's trying to find a way to redeem the life you're living now. ...if that makes sense. i couldn't articulate it as well as i'd hoped.
