A friend of mine translated it to Portuguese and I worked in the English version of this:

This morning, I woke up (Goodbye beautiful, goodbye beautiful) This morning I woke up And I found the invader Oh warrior, take me away (Goodbye beautiful, goodbye beautiful) Oh warrior, take me away For I feel I'm going to die And if I die as a warrior (Goodbye beautiful, goodbye beautiful) And if I die as a warrior You must bury me And bury me up that hill (Goodbye beautiful, goodbye beautiful) And bury me up that hill Under the shadow of a beautiful flower And the people who'll pass by (Goodbye beautiful, goodbye beautiful) And the people who'll pass by Will say: what a beautiful flower This is the warrior's flower (Goodbye beautiful, goodbye beautiful) This is the warrior's flower He who died for freedom

i'm italian. this is completely right...except that dramatically warrior is partisan, which gives you a better idea that the song was about world war II, with fighting parties.
