Metropolis pt. II is a concept album, which started out as a single-song sequel to (omg!) Metropolis pt. 1, a song on Images and Words. Because it is a concept album, it is meant to be listened to as a whole. It is not "all one song", but it is all one composition. And as for not having a time signature, that's the most ridiculous shit I've heard since the last ridiculous comment on this song. Every song has time signature. A time signature does not have to remain the same all the way through. As it so happens, The Dance of Eternity changes time signatures 128 times. And I swear to fucking god that I will track down, rape, slay, oven-bake, marinate and devour the next person who so ingeniously points out a connection between this song and Metropolis pt. 1.

Seriously, some people need to learn how to fucking do research and get some idea of what you're talking about before actually talking.
