To me this song is about walking away and turning your back on something that made you happy (the sun)

This is telling everybody that knows about that one thing that makes you happy.

This has you killing everybody (emotionally) because they can't stand to see you just walk away.

This is about you and everybody else being affected by the decision that you've made.
