alot of people are not happy with this song, but when i heard it it stood out to me as one of the best. if you have heard it live on the loudernow cds even better.
"something real, make it timeless, an act of god and nothing else will be accepted" i find this to be good song writing! the fact that nothing is timeless, but still wishing for something that is suggests the song writer doesnt settle for second best, but knows that the thing he is looking for (an act of god) is not possible. this alone would cause me to choke up on stage like adam did when i saw them. its just hard to accept not being able to find something real and timeless. "so if your calling me out, then count me out" so to say, if your not real and timeless then dont waste your time.
the verses suggest he has found someone to match his expectations "5 in the morning it all comes out pouring, out the same way in."he could of just realised he is with the one and telling her and shes taking it all in. or an argument in the same format.
