I interpret the "Don't believe the lie / your dragon needs slaying" differently! I think instead of sticking a comma in and slaying the dragon, it was meant to be one whole idea (don't believe the lie [that] your dragon needs slaying) and she thinks that the idea of needing to slay your inner wild side (dragon) for the sake of another person is a lie. That's why when she lies with him she "brings kisses for the beast" - she wants to nuture it.
That way, the force being called dark (a passionate, dragon-esque force being called evil) is called into question. She likes the way it feels when he touches her hand - it is not wrong.
The "christened those inflated" bit would then refer to Tori's idea that the Christian religion kept people feeling shamed about their sexuality and uninhibited side (in this case by putting those inflated with the old arguments into power). The man in the song may argue that it is a woman that has subdued him (an easy - candy - lie), but he has chosen to subdue himself.
Tori wants those Dragons out and rockin', people!
louliloulou - I think you and I are saying sort of the same thing. especially the "(don't believe the lie [that] your dragon needs slaying" part...I was trying to say that the last time, but I'd been up all night, lol. It never occurred to me that anyone would interpret it any other way (of course, apparently you and I are in the minority)!

And I think you hit the nail on the head about "candy lies..." He's subduing himself...get off the cross, man!
