I agree with ChristineZaki as to the general meaning of the song... what's interesting to me is that, from the time I first listened to the CD, this sounded familiar. The notes at the beginning reminded me of another song. I finally figured it out: "Lover I Don't Have to Love" by Bright Eyes. It's not identical, but definitely very similar. The title of that song is almost harmonious with the thoughts behind this one.
I love this album... it's got enough beats to dance to, but enough heart and thoughtfulness to listen to while sitting perfectly still. A good balance, methinks. =]
