I'd have to say that it's about just enjoying life, but not strictly on a pony...through drugs. I agree that the spinning wheel represents a clock, though. The second to last stanza, I think, really emphasizes the drugs part. I've never taken drugs, but I've heard that you have some pretty crazy experiences and you see your life in a different way- hence the reflecting sign.
