It could be as Rob does seem to base some of his work on poems. This could blatantly be one of them. I, too, have found it hard, I have read a large majority (but not all) of Coleridge's poem. It does have the same tone as these lyrics.
@blessbabe Not just poems. Remember the L'Étranger thing? I can't believe enough people didn't recognise that about that song that they were forced to change the words for the sake of political correctness! And anyway, even an illiterate thug ought to be able to tell that it's not actually advocating racism.
