I think this song is about a couple with a somewhat dysfunctional relatioship. And yet, there's still love. They strive to succeed, but sometimes they fail. They struggle with their own faults, and the "Happy Flower" represents their love and their hope.
The song also makes me think of children that have very flawed parents like this. But even in the midst of serious family problems, the child still manages to thrive, almost as if the child were the "happy flower" that will bloom one day.
