From what I gather it seems he has lost someone. The “inside my shadow” is the shell of the person left after this ruin “my ruin” in his life. The reason the ruin is just does not seem to be in the lyrics. He questions what he is every day and if he can continue.
Inside my shadow I can hear you am I near you
Inside my shadow I can smell you can I tell you
Inside my shadow I can love you think I need you
Inside my shadow I can feel you I've erased you
Am I real Am I real
The first part seems to be a remembrance of the lost person. He is fading into what use to be and then realizing that the person is gone and that he has allowed the memory to fade. “I've erased you” I think implies the lost memory of that person as time has passed. Then he questions if he is still alive without that person and the memory of them “Am I real Am I real”.
“Save my ruin” seems to be a cry for help, for someone to help him recover from this. Again I don’t see the reason for this ruin to be just.
If theres tomorrow would you give me please forgive me
If theres tomorrow you'd be buried and that just scares me
This part seems to me the struggle every night and every morning of someone that has lost a large part of there life; how do you continue life without? He asks for forgiveness for any and every wrong done to this person. He asks for just another day for this forgiveness and then remembers that the person is dead and buried. Then realizes his fears and questions what is left of him and what can continue.
