To me, this song means reflection, on life and love. On love...I personally am reminded of this song when looking at my last "failed" relationship, which ended up being a lovers turned friends kind of deal. About how if I could, I would have "changed the world, like a fairy tale" to make our love work out. "If there's a spell on you that I could take away" once again, stating how I would have done whatever to correct it.

But now I think the Karma cops are comin' after you" Pretty much also reminiscent of my relationship, because my parter was in so many ways everything I wanted to be as a person in life, but to such a far greater extent that he actually was doing himself--and most everyone around him--more harm than good. "Every time you get yourself caught up inside of someone else's crazy dream, own it, yeah, that's a mistake " It makes me think of how I was pretty much caught up inside of my partner's "crazy dreams" of life and how it should be, but in the end, it wasn't going to work for us, and I have no one to blame for that mistake but me.
