I really like that take on it, but I also think it could go with less complicated situations just as easily.
For me, it seems to be about loving someone so much that you ignore the unimportant BS that comes with any relationship. Sure, there will be tough times and arguments, but knowing when to just be there for your partner instead of acting on impulse (be it words or actions) speaks louder than anything else. To shorten it all up a bit, it seems like saying no matter what happens, you will do whatever it takes to make your significant other know you're in it for the long haul, no matter what happens.
Either way you want to look at it, this is an incredible song.
