I completely agree with electriceel01. This song really does reflect a past relationship or might-have-been relationship that never really developed to a place you would've wanted it to. And now that relationship is becoming appealing once more but you know it's not really worth it to have you heart broken like it was before.
I think it also may be speaking of a new, separate relationship that may be developing with someone else that has no real prior experience in love, and you're kind of inbetween on who you might want to settle for, the old flame or the new prospect?
Or maybe I'm just translating this into my own life too much and not enough into itself. :)
