Could this be a possible reference to straightedge? Taken to mean drinking games or casual sex. I think it might be, I've be listening to this song a lot since I arrived at university and discovered my belief in drinking to moderation alone wouldn't work with the society here in Britain.

Reminds me of my ex. I broke up with her after I discovered she's sold out to immorality, and is really prideful about it. Which really pisses me off, to say the least.
