Point being, people, leaders, representatives - whomever - have always used the USA’s “Charter” to whip up Nationalism (definitely NOT “patriotism”. True patriots don’t cynically use the Constitution against the very people who claim to hold it sacred, yet, don’t even come CLOSE to understanding...
