i beleive he is saying they are ruining the earth, the arrogant and self indulged lives they live, parents wont be able to control them oneday, and they will rebel against everything and ruin the earth and the majority of things that belong on it.
he may think that parents need to notice what they teach their children as the children are the future,
what a child see's is what it learns.
