This song, at least to me, seems to be about a relationship and how it is ending, but Bryce wants to still be in it.

"S-S-Saying, I'm looking now At pictures of us I remember thinking, oh, oh, oh This will never be lost"

The song starts with recollections of feelings during the relationship. He used to think that it would be impossible for them ever to break up.

"Oh, the songs that spoke for me When I couldn't speak Shame the bands broke up I just hope we'll remember these"

Songs began to have much more meaning to him during the relationship. When you hear a love song while in love, you relate to it much better. Now, though, these songs are disappearing/having less meaning. He just wants to remember the songs they were when he was in that relationship.

"Hold it up Hold it tight Moments live or moments die Hold it up Hold it strong Stay right here where you belong Hold it up Hold it tight The only plans of mine Might sound to you cliché But, I just plan to live the rest of my life"

Hold it up in this sense means wait, and don't go. He continues with "stay right here where you belong." He wants to be able to live to life's fullest, and feels as if the only way for him to do that is to be with whoever it is in the song.

"S-S-Saying I want to know These pictures of us I don't want to say goodnight To records I love"

This ties back in with the first verse. He wants to still be in love with all the records that they shared. He feels so intertwined with the person that he would be losing a part of himself if she were to leave.

"I was thinking about growing old Forgetting and forgot I don't want to forget this And I don't want to be forgot"

He wanted to grow old with this person, but now she's leaving. He knows that if she leaves, they will both forget the relationship when they get older, but he doesn't want that to happen.

That's pretty much it. He's so a part of the other person, and she's so a part of him, that when she goes he won't be whole anymore.
