I believe this verse has to deal with being stubborn. He is out on a tightrope, or more like against the wall...pressured, but he is toughing it out. All the odds are against him and he is being too stubborn to ask for help. Thus the wind, which could be his inner thought talking to him is saying that its okay to call out for help.
Second Verse:
He's out and about living life...very freely at that. Not caring about responsibilities or anything of that nature. But of course with this negligence he is falling behind on EVERYTHING. The only way for him to escape is by going out or whatever it is that sets his mind from these troubles. Inner thought kicks in..."Wise up. Take care of your responsibilities."
Bridge:
Changing faith and ways...making your bed and living (or laying) in it, meaning to do just that. A 180 of how he currently is because this life that he's now living isnt doing him any good.
