Not sure why this song didn't make the final cut on the US release. It seems to fit into the theme of the whole album... One of the first things I noticed with this song (actually surprised nobody's mentioned it yet) is it offers a parallel to Anna Molly in which he's "sober w/lonliness" vs "punch drunk" in this song. I maybe reading into it too deep but I interpreted the song as a post-breakup(like Anna Molly) except in this one he got himself drunk & found a fling to try & cure his loneliness.
Played this as the encore @ Harborlights in Boston last month... it rocked. And to the above I know what those crazy nights @ UMass are all about.
