"This song's called 'I'm a drug addict'" - Jerry himself in Albany last weekend. A lot of his songs are so ambiguous it's hard to pinpoint one meaning. It seems in this one he's talking about his drug abuse and how he's using it as an escape from this girl who seems hesitant to act.

To me that sounds exactly like how it feels when you first feel your trip set in when you eat shrooms (which do go great with orange juice or as he said in the show "these shrooms go better with juice... or beer... or juice).
