My interpretation:
The singers brother has gone through a separation or rough time with a girl "He hadn’t known her long
He really took it too hard" and starts to contemplate suicide as a way out. The singer tries to console him but is pushed away, causing a lot of pain for him to bare without realizing it "You just push me away
All you pain is killing me
But you’re so blind, you don’t see".
He then addresses his mother, apologizing and regretting that he hadn't acted more efficiently, before addresses his Father in heaven, asking him to take him in his hands. Whether he is referring to his father or God I'm not sure.
