In my opinion, I think it's trying to get at the fact that everybody's under the infulence of the media. They "feed" us with advertisment etc. for all their products etc., and we all go crazy and buy it.!I also think it's saying that media targets the younger audience these days, so they spend their parents money on their products - "I wanna make a record for ten-year-old fans!
