Heard this song for the first time when it came up on shuffle today. I can't believe it doesn't have any comments yet. Here's what I think:
Kanye dates this girl for a while back when his life is more normal, before he had a record deal and didn't have much money. This girl doesn't like the fact that Kanye's always gone and never listens to what she says. She's talking to him on the phone and the call gets dropped. She must think he hung up on her, so she gets mad at him. This girl seems a little unstable to me with this line, "Hate her when she’s mad but more when she’s passive."
So, she gets mad, moves away, and goes to another college without telling him. When he calls her back, he finds all this out from her mother, hence "Now I’m tryin to call
One ring, two rings, seven rings, eight rings
Her mother picked up the phone
Like she in school and she don’t stay here no more."
Kanye repeats the intro "I guess its more good women than men percentage-wise..." and you realize that it's describing how the girl feels, still deeply hurt by her relationship with Kanye and numbing the pain by focusing on school while protecting herself from being hurt again, saying she isn't into guys.

Sad song.
