to me this song is about a girl running from her problems in drugs and alchohol but i feel it goes a bit deeper than that. Emery being a christian band. the line "leave with me cause you could die tonight" could have a double meaning. not only could she literally drink herself to death, the more she shrinks and hides in the alchohol the further she slips from God and therefore is spiritually dying as well. as for the sound of this song, it does sound like a different direction for emery because in many of their songs they never had an actual chorus line, however this song goes by the usual song setup of verse, chorus verse, chorus, bridge, reprise, and then chorus again. so in that way yes...it is slightly unoriginal, but at the same time, their sound is in no way unoriginal, they still have the multivocal melodic screamo sound they had back in The Weak's End. the only difference is that it's a bit more refined.
